Job Summary:

Support the daily patient care activities of the Optometry Clinic and assist with quality improvement projects.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Patient correspondence for appointment scheduling, phone calls, referrals and recalls Performs and documents entrance examination testing including autorefraction, lensometry, visual acuities, oculomotor testing, pupil assessment and measurement of intraocular pressure. Performs and documents diagnostic testing as needed including fundus photography, optical coherence tomography, topography and visual fields Prepares medications & patients for in office procedures using aseptic technique and assists providers during procedures Facilitates the enrollment of patients in patient assistance programs and maintenance of eligibility Performs autoclaving and instrument sterilization Supports flow of clinic operations Scribes for providers as needed Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

Working knowledge of eye clinic processes and the use of preventive and diagnostic equipment. Effective communication Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills Strong computer skills.

Education and Experience:

A High School Diploma or GED is required.

Associates Degree or Certification:
