Job Description

Please include a short 1-2 sentence cover letter stating you are interested in the position so we know your application is not spam This is a wonderful opportunity for a highly organized and compassionate Bilingual Receptionist/Technician to join our optometric team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations. The candidate will be responsible for managing patient intake, checking and filing insurances and maintaining medical records, and ensuring smooth clinic operations while adhering to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques. Experience is a plus but we can train. We are located inside the Walmart in Carrollton but we are independent from Walmart. Responsibilities include but not limited to : Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently using EMR system Collect and verify patient information including insurance details Assist with patient intake procedures, including medical history documentation and HIPAA compliance Schedule appointments, follow-up visits, and coordinate with clinical staff for smooth workflow Maintain accurate medical records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards Support front desk operations by answering phones and managing inquiries Perform basic clerical duties such as data entry, filing, and inventory management Assist clinicians as needed Uphold aseptic techniques during procedures to maintain a sterile environment Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical billing/coding processes as needed Will be cross-trained as optometric technician, performing preliminary testing for clinician when needed Experience Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and customer service Comfort with computer usage including data entry and internet searches Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Punctual and reliable If you don't have experience, we can train. $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
