Our office is designed just for kids, and we are seeking Certified Ophthalmic Assistants (COA) and Certified Ophthalmic Technicians (COT) who are passionate about helping children and families. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day while working alongside a supportive, expert team in a fun, kid-focused environment. Bottom line—we're looking for the very best techs who love kids! What You'll Do As part of our team, you will: Take and record patient history, medications, allergies, and other essential information Enter patient data accurately into our electronic health records system Measure near and distance visual acuity Administer eye drops as directed Perform lens measurements with a manual lensometer Conduct Goldmann Applanation tonometry Operate an autorefractor for patient refractions Assist with visual field testing, external and fundus photography Measure pupils and extraocular eye movements Accurately scribe during examinations by our ophthalmologist and optometrists Support prescription management and call in prescriptions when needed Assist with contact lens fittings and orientations Maintain exam room and equipment readiness (stocking supplies, cleaning instruments, etc.) Provide patient and family education in a clear, compassionate manner Who We're Looking For Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) through JCAHPO Prior pediatric or ophthalmic experience preferred (but not required if certified) Excellent communication and teamwork skills Compassion, patience, and a genuine love for working with children Why Join Us Competitive pay based on experience and certification Full-time and part-time positions available Medical insurance, paid time off, and continuing education support (for eligible employees) A collaborative, family-focused environment where your work truly impacts lives The opportunity to grow your skills in pediatric ophthalmology, a highly specialized and rewarding field We are an Equal Opportunity Employer .
