The Role This is a dynamic, cross-functional position where your days stay engaging. You'll assist the doctor with exams, help patients discover eyewear they love, and manage optical operations. We believe our best team members understand the complete patient journey — from testing through sales to billing. This role requires flexibility and genuine willingness to rotate between clinical, optical, and administrative responsibilities. What You'll Do Patient Care & Clinical Support Greet patients and create a welcoming atmosphere Perform preliminary testing and assist doctor during exams Provide contact lens training and follow-up care Optical & Sales Guide eyewear selection, fitting, and adjustments Manage optical operations (ordering, inventory, merchandising) Insurance & Billing Verify vision insurance benefits (VSP, EyeMed, Spectera, Davis Vision, etc.) Quote and process eyewear and contact lens orders Handle medical insurance billing Discuss coverage and costs with patients Administrative Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records Schedule appointments and coordinate communications Support team meetings and practice improvements Who You Are Patient-focused with genuine care for helping people see and feel their best Eager to master the full patient care lifecycle Flexible and positive about rotating between roles Strong communicator and detail-oriented Collaborative team player with fashion awareness Proactive and self-directed Requirements High school diploma or equivalent (Required) Minimum 2 years optometric field experience (Required) Experience verifying and billing vision insurance (Required) Ability to commute to Irving, TX (Required) Preferred Qualifications Medical insurance billing experience ABO or Optometric Technician Certification Spanish or Hindi language skills Benefits Health and dental insurance In-house vision coverage with complimentary annual exams Employee and family eyewear discounts 10 days PTO + paid holidays

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (1-hour lunch, no nights/weekends)

Pay:

$16.00 - $25.00 per hour
