Optometry, Optical, Ophthalmology or other Medical Office experience
REQUIRED.
Knowledge of frames, lenses, and insurance benefits is a plus. Pay will be based on knowledge and experience. Duties Work up patients and perform pretesting procedures to get patients ready to see doctor. Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with appointment scheduling using electronic medical record (EMR). Support optical services by helping patients select eyewear, taking measurements for glasses and contact lenses, and processing retail sales efficiently. Explain prescription and insurance coverage. Educate patients on eye health topics including pediatrics, senior care considerations, anatomy knowledge, physiology basics, and proper contact lens care. Support clinic operations by managing inventory of optical supplies and assisting with retail math calculations to optimize stock levels. Skills Excellent communication and customer service skills. Must be out-going, motivated, with a friendly personality. Must be a dependable team player with a positive and professional attitude. Need to be able to multi-task.
