Job Description
I'm looking for someone who wakes up happy and loves helping other people. We are seeking a Float Team Member who will be based out of our West Plano office, but will support all 3 of our clinic locations , making a difference where help is needed most. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, is adaptable, and wants to build a well-rounded experience in a medical/optical office setting. Key Responsibilities Depending upon the needs of the location, you will primarily assist with optician and optical technician duties, but will also be trained as a patient coordinator. You'll be educating patients on frames and lenses options, frame-styling, ordering lenses, filing them to vision insurance, fitting frames, repair & adjustment of frames, answering patient phone calls, scheduling appointments, teaching patients to use contact lenses and pretesting patients to prepare them for their visit with the doctor. But above all, you'll be making patients happy and glad they came to see you. On-the-job training can be provided, but 1-2 years of optician experience is required. Training & Experience On-the-job training is provided. We are looking for someone with reliable transportation who is dependable, motivated, comfortable learning new tasks and confident interacting with patients. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
