This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ophthalmic technician who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while providing exceptional care to patients with retinal diseases and conditions .

Responsibilities:

Prepare patients for examination by obtaining medical and ocular histories . Perform visual acuity testing, refractions, intraocular pressure measurements, and pupil assessments. Instill dilating and diagnostic eye drops as directed . Obtain diagnostic testing, including OCT, fundus photography, visual fields, and other retinal imaging. Assist physicians with retinal examinations and in-office procedures, including intravitreal injections and laser treatments . Accurately document findings and patient information within the electronic medical record (EMR). Educate patients regarding treatments, medications, and follow-up care . Maintain exam rooms, instruments, and equipment according to practice protocols. .Work collaboratively with physicians and fellow team members to provide outstanding patient care

Qualifications:

Previous ophthalmic experience required; retina experience preferred. COA, COT, or COMT certification is preferred but not required. Knowledge of ophthalmic terminology, anatomy, and diagnostic testing. Strong computer and EMR skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Professional, dependable, and committed to providing exceptional patient care.
