This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced ophthalmologists, make a meaningful difference in patients' lives, and build a rewarding career in healthcare. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care by performing preliminary examinations, diagnostic testing, and assisting physicians during patient visits. Responsibilities As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will: Obtain and document patient medical and ocular histories Perform comprehensive patient workups, including refractions Accurately document patient information in the electronic health record (EHR) system Assist physicians before, during, and after patient examinations Scribe detailed medical documentation during patient visits Ensure accurate charting and coding of examinations Process prescription medications as directed by physicians Operate and maintain ophthalmic diagnostic testing equipment Provide exceptional patient service and support throughout the visit Continue developing new skills and assume additional responsibilities as training and experience progress Qualifications The ideal candidate will have: Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities High attention to detail and accuracy A friendly, positive, and professional demeanor A genuine passion for helping others A self-motivated and dependable work ethic The ability to work effectively as part of a team The ability to thrive in a fast-paced medical environment A willingness to learn and grow professionally Why Join Davis Vision Center?
