Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Certified Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist ophthalmologists/optometrist in providing eye care services to patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical office procedures and exceptional patient care skills. Duties
- Perform diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, lensometry, and tonometry
- Prepare patients for examinations by documenting their medical history and explaining procedures
- Assist with minor surgical procedures and provide post-operative care instructions
- Maintain examination equipment and ensure cleanliness and sterility
- Handle administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and updating patient records Skills
- Proficiency in medical coding and billing
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control
- Familiarity with ophthalmic systems and equipment
- Experience working in a clinic or medical office setting
- Strong front desk and customer service skills
