Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Certified Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist ophthalmologists/optometrist in providing eye care services to patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical office procedures and exceptional patient care skills. Duties
  • Perform diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, lensometry, and tonometry
  • Prepare patients for examinations by documenting their medical history and explaining procedures
  • Assist with minor surgical procedures and provide post-operative care instructions
  • Maintain examination equipment and ensure cleanliness and sterility
  • Handle administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and updating patient records Skills
  • Proficiency in medical coding and billing
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control
  • Familiarity with ophthalmic systems and equipment
  • Experience working in a clinic or medical office setting
  • Strong front desk and customer service skills
