Ophthalmic Assistant / Technician Full-Time | Monday-Friday | Eye Care and Surgery, P.C.

What You'll Do:
As an Ophthalmic Assistant, you will play a key role in patient care by supporting our ophthalmologists and optometrists with both clinical and technical tasks: Perform screenings, patient histories, and diagnostic testing Assist with minor in-office surgeries and procedures Provide efficient and accurate medical documentation as a scribe (for select roles) Engage directly with patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding of their care Collaborate with doctors, clinical staff, and our in-house insurance team to streamline care Some travel to our satellite offices (Botetourt, Smith Mountain Lake, Blacksburg)
What We're Looking For:
High school diploma/GED required; college degree preferred Health care or ophthalmic experience ideal, but not required —we provide on-the-job training Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment A positive, team-first attitude with the professionalism to match Eagerness to learn, grow, and pursue certification opportunities Comfort with technology and willingness to learn electronic medical record systems Why Join Us?
