Beach Eye Care, a well-established, growing Optometry & Ophthalmology practice in Coastal Virginia, is seeking a motivated experienced Ophthalmic Technician to join the team. This modern and progressive full-scope multi-specialty practice offers the latest in technology, compassion, and professional medical care, including aesthetics and plastic surgery. We are currently looking to add a full-time experienced Ophthalmic Technician to our Clinic Team. Interested candidates should enjoy a fast paced team oriented environment, and have strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail. Candidates must be able to work some saturdays/evenings. Our team is consistently voted Best Place for Eye Care on an annual basis by the Coastal Virginia community. Requirements:
Job Duties:
Complete all scribing for patient's exam with no errors Educated in billing from the exam room, to include modifiers Able to ERX all meds oral and eye drops Able to screen patients, up to the point of refraction Able to assist with minor office procedures Prepares specimens to be sent out for pathology Provides patient with information on new and current diagnosis's (pamphlets, printouts) Attends required meetings, training and in-services Presents self in a positive manner and works well with others. Demonstrates commitment to flexibility in schedule to ensure patient care. Must be team oriented
Requirements:
At least one year ophthalmic tech experience High accuracy in data entry and strong follow-up skills Strong ability to multitask in a fast paced environment Strong communication skills Ability to travel to other practice locations as needed Ability to work some evenings and Saturdays
