Job Description

NOVA Eye Experts PLLC is hiring experienced and motivated Ophthalmic Technicians for our Manassas and Warrenton locations. We are an ophthalmology practice committed to exceptional patient care, strong clinical standards, and a supportive work environment. Position Summary The technician supports our physicians by performing diagnostic testing, rooming patients, documenting clinical data, and assisting with examinations and procedures. This role requires strong technical skills, accuracy, and a patient-focused mindset. What You Will Do Perform OCT, visual fields, topography, pachymetry, keratometry, fundus photography, and biometry. Obtain medical and ocular histories; perform visual acuities, tonometry, and standard evaluations. Assist with refractions, lasers, and minor procedures. Enter and verify all documentation in the EMR (NextTech). Support patient flow, provide education, and coordinate with the clinical and front office teams. Maintain exam rooms and uphold all infection-control and HIPAA standards. What We're Looking For High school diploma required; ophthalmic training or college coursework preferred. 1-5 years of ophthalmic experience; COA/COT preferred. Strong communication, professionalism, and multitasking abilities. EMR experience; NextTech is a plus. Physical Requirements Standing/walking for extended periods. Fine motor skills for instrument use. Ability to lift 25-30 lbs as needed.
