Job Description

Description Harman Eye Clinic is a progressive ophthalmic medical and surgical practice, we are searching for a Ophthalmic Technician to add to our team. Our Company is nationally recognized, with vast clinical experience in a wide variety of eye surgical services, advanced technology, and proven results. Duties/Responsibilities:
Open and close exam lanes and ensure all supplies are stocked Communicate patient flow with the team to keep the schedules running on time Maintain a clean and tidy work environment and waiting area for patients Completes various documents and forms such as consent forms, work releases, etc Take patients' medical histories, and perform ophthalmic diagnostic exams Operate ophthalmic equipment Sterilize instruments to maintain ophthalmic instruments or equipment Help instruct the patient in the care and treatment of eye conditions Ensure all medical records are accurate and complete Triage phone calls from patients and outside contacts Maintain flexibility and perform other duties as required Requirements Basic knowledge of medical coding terminology and conventions Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office products and G-suite environment Willing to help in all areas, have the flexibility and effectively work in a team environment. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Enjoy working with the elderly population Demonstrated excellence in communication skills, and ability to convey ideas and information verbally and in writing Professional appearance, strong interpersonal skills, and patient confidentiality. Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. One (1) year experience as an ophthalmic assistant, experienced COA or COT preferred. Maintains appropriate education, certification, licensure, and training.
