We are looking for a friendly, efficient and detail oriented Optometric Technician. The Optometric Technician will be responsible for pre-testing all patients prior to the doctor's exam. All contact lens orders, dispensing and training will also be a part of the Optometric Technician's duties. Team members may be asked to work at a different location (as needed, and typically with advance notice). Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to): Enter/Review patient history in patient management system Pre-Testing patients prior to doctor's exam Assist doctor when necessary Maintain exam rooms (supplies/cleaning) Training new contact lens wearing patients Ordering/Maintaining contact lens orders for patients and office trials
Skills:
Extremely detail oriented Calm under pressure and is able to multi-task Experience in patient and/or customer service Excellent communication and organizational skills Efficient computer usage Timeliness - to keep the patient flow moving throughout the day
Job Type:
Full-time Starting Pay:
$16.00 - $19.00 per hour (DOE) As we are a multi-location practice, there may be times where it is requested you work in one of our other locations.
