About the Company 2020 On-site is the leader in mobile vision care. Since 2014, our Mobile Vision Clinics have provided eye care to over 75,000 patients at their workplaces, schools and neighborhoods. In May 2020, we expanded our services to provide vital access to clinical trial assessments and tests, bringing uniquely equipped Mobile Clinics directly to participants. Our focus is "radical patient-centricity", prioritizing the patient experience, minimizing time and distance barriers. Fast forward, we are stronger than ever and growing rapidly. The opportunity:
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Life Sciences, we have an opportunity for an Ophthalmic Technician who wants to jumpstart their career at a unique startup in eye health. You will play a critical role as a patient-facing individual who is involved in the execution of national, specialty life science projects onboard the mobile eye clinic. You are an organized, motivated, self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, making connections by phone or email with patients, and managing the operational processes of life science projects. Patient care is of utmost importance and as the first point of contact for the patient, interacting in an empathetic and caring manner will positively impact their experience with us. This position requires 100% travel. What you will do : Interface with patients to perform Ophthalmic testing utilizing cutting-edge equipment and technology to accurately assess vision, eye pressure, retinal imaging and more Drive our mobile clinic throughout different states where patients need access to care. (Commercial driver's license is not necessary). Obtain and maintain necessary certifications for operating equipment onboard the mobile eye clinic Build reports and transmit data precisely, as instructed per each clinical protocol Communicate with patients and update them with pertinent information for their visit Enter data and transmit information to sponsors, PIs, and reading centers Ensure data is accurate, timely, and acceptable upon submission Travel 100% of the time Who you are: You are a certified Paraoptometric or Ophthalmic Technician, but it is not a requirement You have had experience with patients in a clinic setting You may have ophthalmic testing/experience Experience in an optometry or ophthalmology setting A great communicator who enjoys helping people and is responsive to patient/client needs in a timely manner Curious about new subjects and interested in learning new things An adventurer who likes to drive and travel A dependable & organized team player You pay attention to the details and can capture that data in a way that maximizes a positive patient/client experience You manage tasks and responsibilities appropriately, prioritizing the most pressing needs You are flexible to work outside of a typical Monday-Friday 9-5 At 2020 On-site, we see differently.
