Our practice has locations in Seattle and Bellevue/Factoria, WA. The position includes work in both locations and some Saturdays, and is open to applicants interested in a part-time or full-time role . While experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate. As an Optometric Technician, you will play an important role in supporting our doctors, assisting with patient care, performing testing, and helping create a positive experience for each patient from start to finish. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, staying busy, learning new skills, and being part of a fun, hardworking team. What You Will Do Collect patient medical and vision history. Perform routine and medically necessary testing as needed. Use optometric equipment, including autorefractor, lensometer, fundoscope, OCT, and visual field devices. Enter new prescriptions into the electronic health record system. Call in prescriptions as needed. Assist and educate patients under the supervision of the doctor. Instruct new contact lens users on proper insertion, removal, and care. Support patient flow and help ensure visits run smoothly. Assist with other clinical and office duties as needed. What We Are Looking For Strong customer service skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Quick learner with a positive attitude. Able to take initiative and complete tasks. Friendly, dependable, and motivated. Comfortable working with patients of all ages and backgrounds. A team player who enjoys helping others and supporting patient care. Preferred, But Not Required Previous optometric or ophthalmic assistant experience. Familiarity with medical or optometric terminology. Experience with Crystal PM or another optometric EHR system.
