As our new team member, you will be responsible for accurately inputting patients information into machines, performing initial testing using automated ophthalmic instruments, correctly input patients responses, healthy history and medications, communicating efficiently, performing initial testing, sales, and ensuring office sanitation. In addition, you will assist the office manager, other staff, and optometrist as directed. To excel in this role, you must be computer proficient, and have a neat, clean, and professional appearance. Front Office Duties:
  • Promote practice services and products to patients, supporting sales goals and enhancing the patient experience
  • Greet and assist patients with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Schedule appointments and manage the front desk efficiently
  • Verify insurance information and process payments accurately 2.
Technician Responsibilities:
  • Conduct preliminary eye examinations and assist with diagnostic testing
  • Perform visual field testing and other technical procedures
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in an optical practice or healthcare setting is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of optical equipment and procedures
  • Detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification as an Optometric Technician or Medical Assistant is a plus
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
