The ideal candidate must be a qualified dispensing optician or optical assistant who has the ability to demonstrate knowledge of optical theories, the ability to take necessary measurements and fittings of eye wear, dispense, adjust and repair patient's eye wear and neutralization of lenses. Applicant must have excellent communication and customer service skills in assisting and advising patients regarding frame selection, lens materials, styles and available options in clinic as well as over the phone. Must be able to troubleshoot any problems regarding patient eye wear, providing workable solutions to any problems patients may have. Must be detail oriented when verifying incoming lab orders for accuracy, verifying patient insurance benefits and obtaining authorizations. Must be able to calculate charges and/or insurance payments, discounts on sales, determining patient balance due, etc. A minimum of 3 to 5 years experience preferred.
