Salary :
$17.71/hour - Salary is Negotiable (Employees will receive 5% below the negotiated pay rate during their probationary status.)

Optometric Supervisor Summary :
This position is intended to help the candidate develop skills and knowledge needed to become a certified optician and/or optometric technician. They will learn how to work up a patient and get them ready for the Optometrist. They will learn vital skills in selecting, repairing, and ordering glasses and contacts. The trainee will also learn how to bill for optical services and materials. They will help ensure a safe, clean and friendly environment for the patient. Continuation of this position is contingent upon funding allocations.
Minimum Qualifications :
Applicants please clearly state how you meet these qualifications on the application/resume. High School Diploma, HSED Diploma or GED Certification is required. Applicants age fifty (50) and older are exempt from this requirement. Must be able to obtain ABO, CPO, CPOA, NCLE, or other nationally recognized certification within eighteen (18) months of employment. Must be able to show continued progression of skills and knowledge by completing the items listed on the Optical Department Minimum Competency Log and complete within twelve (12) months.ed.
