Responsibilities:
- Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that fit their visual needs, lifestyle, and budget
- Take accurate measurements (PD, OC height, segment height, etc)
- Interpret prescriptions and recommend appropriate lens options and coatings
- Adjust, fit, and repair eyewear
- Educate patients on lens technologies and frame options
- Verify eyewear accuracy before dispensing
- Process orders with optical laboratories and track jobs
- Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming optical dispensary
- Work collaboratively with doctors and staff to provide an outstanding patient experience Qualifications
- Previous experience as an optician
- Strong knowledge of ophthalmic lenses, frame fitting, and adjustments
- Excellent communication and sales skills
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Ability to multitask in a busy optical area
- Experience with EHR software is a big plus What we offer:
