Retail Licensed Optician (Registered Spectacle Lens Dispenser)

San Diego, UTC Mall Our client, a global luxury retail brand, is seeking an experienced Licensed Optician to join its retail team. This individual will play a key role in delivering an elevated customer experience while providing expert optical services in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service and personalized optical consultations. Assist clients with frame and lens selection based on their needs and prescription requirements. Interpret and verify prescriptions while ensuring accuracy in lens orders. Adjust, fit, and repair eyewear as needed. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with applicable optical regulations. Support daily retail operations, including merchandising, inventory, and store presentation. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales and service goals. Qualifications An active Spectacle Lens Dispenser License from the California State Board of Optometry, or at minimum, a current American Board of Opticianry (ABO) certification. High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of optical experience. Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, luxury retail environment. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
