Job Description

We are a patient-focused, privately owned optometry practice seeking an experienced and personable Lead Optician to join our growing team. If you are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care, have a strong background in optical sales and dispensing, and enjoy leading by example in a collaborative environment, we'd love to hear from you. Responsibilities Provide outstanding customer service while assisting patients with frame and lens selection. Accurately fit, adjust, and dispense eyewear. Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and eyewear products. Oversee daily optical operations and ensure an organized, efficient workflow. Train, mentor, and support optical team members. Manage frame inventory, merchandising, and vendor relationships. Verify prescriptions and ensure accuracy of all eyewear orders. Troubleshoot and resolve patient concerns with professionalism and care. Collaborate closely with doctors and staff to deliver an exceptional patient experience. Qualifications Previous experience as an optician required; leadership experience preferred. Strong knowledge of ophthalmic lenses, and frame styling. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Sales-oriented mindset with a focus on patient education rather than high-pressure sales. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Experience with electronic optical management Officemate software is a plus. What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience.
