Job Description
Optician is responsible for interpreting prescriptions written by our Optometrists, recommending frames, lens education, and conduct patient consultation. Optician must be able to calculate insurance co-pays based on eligibility, dispense and adjust eyeglasses, and check orders in from the laboratory. Optician will also maintain displays of optical merchandise and inventory within the optical area.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients in the selection process of frames and educate on technology of lenses
- Delivery and fit of eyewear
- Lensometry
- Perform adjustments and repairs
- Maintain inventory and displays of optical merchandise
- Calculate insurance co-pay based on eligibility
- Understanding of teamwork atmosphere
- Passion for outstanding patient care
- Licensed Optician not necessary
