Barrett Eye Care has been in business for just over 21 years, and we continue to grow at a rapid pace. We have 2 office locations located at 11845 Allisonville Road in Fishers, IN and 11450 North Meridian Street in Carmel, IN. This position is for our Carmel office on Meridian Street. The job would involve primarily optician responsibilities including, running an optical shop, selling glasses, fitting glasses, dispensing glasses, purchasing frames, maintaining frame boards, billing vision insurance and placing lab orders. We do not have an in-house lab, so all lens production is outsourced. Training will be provided at the beginning of the employment. At least three years of optician experience is required. ABO certification is preferred but not required. There would also be some front-office administrative duties including patient scheduling, answering phones, pulling charts, etc. The work schedule is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with the possibility of half-day work on Fridays. No nights or weekend work. Salary is very competitive and falls in the range of $23-29/hour depending largely on the quality of the candidate. Year-end bonuses are also available. The offices are busy, and the patient volume is high, so we are looking for an energetic, resourceful individual capable of taking on responsibility and functioning independently.
