OPTICIAN WANTED
•Mission EyeCare is seeking a full-time Eye Care Optician to assist our busy optometrists and optical boutique in our professional private practice.
JOB DUTIES
Primary optical duties are things such as frame selection, inventory, frame & lens measurements, lens edging/finishing, dispensing glasses, placing orders, filing insurance. Primarily this candidate will be working in the optical department, but will be trained in all areas of the practice including but not limited to: greeting and welcoming incoming patients, take patient histories, perform examination pretesting & special testing, train patients how to use their contact lenses, dispense contact lenses, manage medical inventory, front desk duties (answering phones, taking payments, scheduling appointments, etc).
QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, friendly, bright, and detail-oriented, strong technical ability, medical assistance experience is preferred, but not required, Must be willing to work Saturday mornings until 1:00 pm, and Wednesday evenings until 7:00pm. Experience with OfficeMate/ExamWriter is a plus. A minimum of 1 year experience in optical is strongly recommended.
