At Littlefield Eye Associates, we are passionate about providing exceptional eye care and personalized service to our patients. We are looking for an experienced, motivated Optician to join our team. We are a locally-owned, single practice location with history in Kansas City that goes back over 100 years.

Position Overview:

Opticians are a key member of the optical team. They need to be well versed in sales, inventory management, staff training, customer service, and assisting patients with frame and lens selections. This role combines fashion, technical optical knowledge, and a strong focus on delivering an outstanding patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure an exceptional customer service experience for all patients Assist patients with frame styling and lens selection based on their prescription, lifestyle, and fashion preferences Manage inventory, including ordering frames, lenses, and supplies Collaborate with doctors and clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures Handle repairs, adjustments, and warranties for eyewear Stay current with industry trends, new products, and continuing education

Qualifications:

1+ years of experience in optical sales Strong knowledge of optical products, lens technologies, and frame styling Outstanding communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with practice management software (e.g., Eyefinity, RevolutionEHR, OfficeMate) is a plus ABO Certification preferred but not required
