Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Optician to join our team. As an Optician, you will play a crucial role in assisting customers with selecting eyeglasses, repairing frames, and cutting/edging lenses for glasses. Pay range highly dependent on experience and open to further discussion if candidate is a licensed optician. Duties
- Cutting lenses: Prior experience utilizing Tracing and Edging machines, is a major plus for this position
- Assist customers in choosing eyeglass frames and lenses based on prescription and style preferences
- Take accurate measurements for eyeglasses and ensure proper fit
- Educate customers on lens options, coatings, and care techniques
- Adjust and repair eyewear as needed
- Maintain inventory of frames, lenses, and contact lenses
- Process orders and manage customer records accurately Requirements
- Experience in retail sales with a focus on optical products is preferred
- Basic knowledge of medical coding related to optical devices is a plus
- Ability to work effectively with diverse age groups including pediatrics and seniors
- Proficiency in using electronic health records a plus
- Familiarity of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality
- Experience in providing exceptional customer service and sales support
