We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and motivated Optometric Technician / Receptionist to join our growing team. At Maison de Vision, we offer a wide range of services, including comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, dry eye treatment, and the diagnosis and treatment of eye conditions and diseases. We use the latest technology and techniques to provide our patients with the highest quality care and ensure that they receive the most accurate and precise prescriptions for their eyewear. Our goal is to provide a comfortable and welcoming environment for our patients, and we strive to make their experience at our practice as luxurious and stress free as possible. We offer a wide selection of luxurious designer frames and sunglasses as well as contact lenses. Our staff is always available to answer any questions and help patients find the perfect frames and lenses for their needs. We are committed to providing our patients with the best possible care and helping them achieve and maintain optimal eye health for years to come. Description Responsibilities Front Desk-Reception and Technician Greet and check in patients Answer phones and schedule appointments Verify insurance benefits and eligibility Collect copays and process payments Manage patient records and correspondence Assist with recalls and appointment confirmations Perform preliminary testing including: Visual acuity Autorefraction Retinal imaging OCT and visual field testing Meibography and Topography Enter patient history and chief complaints into EHR Assist the doctor with patient flow Educate patients on recommended treatments and products Assist patients with frame selection Basic Retail sales skills combined with retail math to assist patients with eyewear selections when needed Help patients understand insurance benefits Adjust, repair, and dispense eyewear as needed Qualifications Excellent communication and customer service skills Professional, friendly, and compassionate demeanor Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Comfortable learning new technology and software Prior experience in optometry, ophthalmology, medical office, or optical sales preferred but not required Willingness to learn and grow with the practice Benefits Pay $17-$20 per hour Employee Discount On the job training Flexible schedule Salary $17 - $20 per hour
