What You'll Do As part of our Optical team, you'll help patients confidently navigate one of the most important parts of their visit by finding eyewear that looks great, fits well, and supports their vision needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
Guiding patients through frame selection and lens recommendations based on their prescription, lifestyle, and goals. Educating patients on lens technology, coatings, and eyewear options in a way that is informative and easy to understand. Providing personalized styling recommendations while creating a comfortable, pressure free experience. Adjusting, fitting, and performing minor repairs on eyewear. Accurately entering orders and maintaining detailed patient records. Communicating effectively with doctors, technicians, laboratories, and fellow team members. Helping maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming optical department. Looking for opportunities to improve the patient experience and support the success of the team. Qualifications Preferred:
Previous optical experience. ABO certification or willingness to obtain certification. Experience recommending premium lens products and eyewear solutions. Experience with electronic medical records or optical software. We'll also consider candidates with experience in: Retail sales Customer service Healthcare Other patient and customer facing roles where relationship building, education, attention to detail, and problem solving are essential Optical experience is preferred, but it isn't everything.
