Optometric Assistant LOOK Eyecare & Eyewear Tulsa, OK Job Details Full-time From $15 an hour 8 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Employee discount Qualifications Optical experience American Sign Language Medical scheduling Medical administrative support Certified Prosthetist-Orthotist Assistant Full Job Description Optometric Technician Duties include pretesting patients, assisting patients with contact lenses, scribing for doctor in the exam room, ordering contact lenses and assisting with prior authorization forms, replying to patient emails and text messages. Other duties include answering phones, scheduling appointments, checking patients in and out, filing insurance claims, preparing referrals and dispensing eyewear or other optical duties when an optician is not available. This is a Full Time Position requiring the applicant to work Monday to Thursday 8:30-5:00 and Fridays 8:30-1:00. Some Friday afternoons may be required in the future. Currently those hours are covered by current staff. Experience in the optometry field and some sign language skills are a plus as we see lots of Deaf patients. The Doctor is fluent in American Sign Language. CPO, CPOA or CPOT certifications and experience will allow higher pay.
