1632 Optical Assistant Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm (no weekends, nights, or major holidays) Full-time (40/hour per week) Locations available: Talbott, TN, In-Person Who we are: River Valley Health is a comprehensive Federally Qualified Health Center caring for over 70,000 patients across 13 counties in Tennessee. We provide integrated primary medical, behavioral, dental, optometry, and clinical pharmacy services through our nationally recognized integrated model of care. Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients, schedule appointments, and manage check-ins and check-outs. Help patients select frames and ensure proper fitting. Verify insurance coverage and assist with claims and billing procedures. Ensure exam rooms and instruments are clean and ready for use. Conduct basic eye tests before the optometrist sees the patient.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proficient computer skills. Prior experience in optical retail or healthcare setting preferred.
