Job Description

Job Overview Delta Eye Care is a family-owned optometry practice and optical boutique in Allen, TX. Our mission is to change the standards of eye care by delivering a comprehensive, efficient, informative, and personalized experience all in one location. We're seeking a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented team member who's excited about cross-training and growth. You'll play a vital role in ensuring our patients feel welcomed, cared for, and empowered while gaining experience in the optometry world with opportunities to become a cross-trained in optical with additional pay. Responsibilities As a Patient Care Coordinator and Clinic Technician, you will: Greeting and checking in patients Schedule and modify patient appointments via phone, email, or text Assist with coordinating referrals and pharmacy requests Prepare patients for exams with pre-testing Help assist patient with contact lens training, care and orders Support patient check-out and scheduling when needed Additional Responsibilities as an optician (extra pay): Assist patients with frame styling and lens selections Take accurate optical measurements (PD, segment height, etc.) Create and submit orders through insurance portals and lab systems Inspect, dispense, and adjust eyewear with precision and care Maintain open communication with labs and reps regarding orders and warranties Troubleshoot and resolve patient concerns with empathy and professionalism Requirements Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Basic computer and phone skills High school diploma or equivalent
Highly Preferred:
Some prior experience in an optometry office (private practice or corporate) Sales experience (retail or healthcare setting is a plus!) Familiarity with optical products and patient care systems Bilingual abilities
