Promote the sale of quality eyewear to the patient. Must be able to explain limitations and recommendations for both eyewear and contact lenses to the patient. Input orders following standard operating procedures in Optical Management. Properly process and collect all payments in accordance with policy Check status of all work in progress twice weekly to ensure timely delivery to the patient. Knowledge of the use of a manual lensometer. Verify and receive jobs upon arrival to ensure that RX and measurements are accurate. Review A/R Insurance Balance report bi-weekly for proper reimbursement Notifies patients when eyewear/contact lens orders are ready for pick-up Dispenses glasses and performs any adjustments or minor repairs on eyewear Must be able to educate patients in all aspects of lenses and options that are available to them Should have the ability to troubleshoot if the patient is having any kind of issues with eyewear Must understand all current refund, remake, and frame replacement policies. Should be up to date on all of current promotions available to patients. Must be able to properly verify vision plans and thoroughly explain benefits to patient. Properly file vision plan claims as required Must be able to order lenses and contact lenses through our vendor portals. Verifies Patient records and contact information during each interaction. Responsible for overall appearance of work area, organization, cleanliness of optical displays, sales floor, and back work area Follows all
OSHA, ANSI
