Description :
Beach Eye Care is a patient oriented multiple location practice that is growing. We are currently looking to add a full-time Ancillary Technician to our Clinic Team. The Ancillary Technician generates important preliminary information to be used by the ophthalmologist, reviews patient status, performs medical tests, and supports the mission, vision, and values of Beach Eye Care. Interested candidates should enjoy a fast paced team oriented environment, be straight forward, and have strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail. Customer Service skills are a must. Candidates must be able to work Saturdays and evenings. Our practice has very short Saturday hours, no Sundays, and a great benefit package.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs all requested testing on patients Responsible for stocking of all exam rooms with supplies and brochures Reviews patient's charts for confirmation of correct ordering of images Communicates equipment malfunctions and low inventory levels to Clinical Director Opens all testing equipment upon arrival and cleans, turns off and covers all equipment at the end of the day Produces a variety of images of high quality through proper positioning and technique Utilizes Beach Eye Care computer system for orders, schedules and emails Attends required meetings, training and in-services Performs other duties as assigned .
Requirements:
High School diploma required Presents self in a positive manner and works well with others. Demonstrates commitment to flexibility in schedule to ensure patient care. Must be team oriented Must have the ability to achieve proficiency in job within 3-6 months While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and medical equipment. Light to moderate lifting is required. •In order to protect our patients and staff, Beach Eye Care requires that all new hires be fully vaccinated for
COVID-19
prior to their first day of employment. According to the CDC, people are fully vaccinated 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines or 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson's Janssen vaccine•
