You will work closely with our optometrist to provide exceptional eye care services, ensuring that each patient receives personalized attention and the highest quality of optical products. Your expertise in optical fitting, retail sales, and patient education will empower individuals to make informed decisions about their eyewear needs. What you'll do Assist patients in selecting eyewear that best suits their lifestyle and vision requirements. Perform fittings for eyeglasses and contact lenses, ensuring comfort and proper alignment. Educate patients on proper eyewear care, maintenance, and usage. Maintain accurate medical records and assist with optical billing processes. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret prescriptions and recommend appropriate optical solutions. Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems for efficient patient management. Conduct routine vision pretesting and measure vital signs as needed. Manage retail sales operations, including inventory management and customer service. Basic qualifications Strong knowledge of ophthalmology, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Experience in retail sales or management within an optical setting. Ability to manage time efficiently while juggling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Preferred qualifications Previous laboratory experience related to optical products. Background in pediatrics or senior care to cater to diverse patient demographics. Understanding of retail math for effective inventory control and sales analysis.
