Job Description

Job Overview Provide superior customer service to all individuals within the clinic. Greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, receive and post payments. Performs all job duties associated with the ordering and dispensing of eyewear products for patients and all other duties as assigned to meet the needs of our patients. Reports to the Office Manager. Position Responsibilities Answer phones and schedule patients for exams and office visits as necessary. Enter patient's information into the EHR software system. Obtain and verify the patient's insurance for accuracy and eligibility. Collect and process payments from patients for products and services provided. Perform Optician duties to be able to assist patients with their eyewear selection. Dispense eyewear products to patients and adjust eyewear as needed. Conduct contact lens insertion and removal training classes for new contact lens patients. Diagnose and create solutions for patient's eyewear problems such as fitment issues. Adhere to HIPAA rules and regulations to protect the patient's health information. Perform other duties as necessary to meet the needs of our patients and the business. Essential Skills and Abilities Able to work up to 40 hours per week with the ability to be flexible as needed. Operate computers, printers, phones, and other office equipment as required. Communicate and interact with patients, doctors and staff in a professional manner. Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills with great attention to details. Self-motivated with positive energy to be able to work as a team and independently. Demonstrate and show empathy with patients of all ages and disabled patients. Ability to life up to 25 pounds, ascend and descend stairs, and remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the time. Must be willing to travel between offices as needed. Education and Experiences Required Must have a High School Diploma (or equivalent) or in the process of obtaining one. At least 1 year of Customer Service experience is preferred. Certifications or experiences related to the positions is a plus but not required. We will train the ideal candidate with the right attitude and willingness. Hours of Operation Monday- Friday only!
