Scheduled Weekly Hours:
40 Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant to join our growing and thriving organization. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys patient interaction and wants to build a career in healthcare— no prior ophthalmic or optical experience required . We provide all necessary training to help you succeed. What You'll Get Hands-on experience working with multiple Ophthalmic Providers across Gundersen Health System Comprehensive training—no optical experience needed Starting hourly rate of $17.54/hour , with higher pay available based on experience Exposure to a specialty care environment with opportunities to grow and learn What You'll Do Work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday Typical hours are between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Be based at Gundersen's La Crosse Main Campus Have the opportunity to travel to various Gundersen optical locations Support providers by assisting with patient care and scribing during appointments What You'll Need High school diploma or equivalent At least 6 months of customer service or public relations experience Strong communication skills and a desire to help patients feel informed and comfortable Emplify Health is comprised of two of the Midwest's most respected healthcare systems, Bellin Health and Gundersen Health System.
