Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optician to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assist patients in selecting and fitting eyewear, dispense spectacles, and ensure optimal visual correction. Your expertise will support the optometrists by providing exceptional customer service, maintaining clinical confidentiality, and adhering to health regulation policies. Experience preferred but willing to train the right person. Pay depends on experience Responsibilities Assist patients in selecting appropriate eyewear frames and lenses based on prescriptions, lifestyle needs, and personal preferences. Dispense spectacle lenses accurately, perform eyewear fittings, and make necessary adjustments to ensure comfort and proper alignment. Manage patient records using EMR/EHR systems such as Eye Cloud Pro while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries about optical products, insurance coverage, and medical terminology explanations. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about medical procedures and product options. Basic math skills for retail transactions, medical coding, billing processes, and optical measurements.
