Salaries do not reflect the recent changes. Part-time employees are subject to the same conditions as full-time employees, on a prorated basis equivalent to their time-base. Permanent intermittent employees are subject to the same condition as full-time employees, based on the number of hours worked in the pay period. California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) is seeking Optometrists currently employed with the state of California who are interested in additional appointments to provide coverage in a part-time capacity, up to 40 hours per month. These uncommon positions are available to all Physical Therapists currently employed by the State of California. Due to the nature of these dual appointments, the only stipulation is that the additional appointment must be a distinctly different role than your primary job, and you cannot be a supervisor, manager, or executive. Onsite dual appointments at your primary institution may be available.Additional Information:
Time worked is not considered overtime. Time worked will be outside your normal hours. The dates and hours of work will be determined by the hiring location. Under the general direction of the Receiver's Medical Executive, the Optometrist, Correctional Facility, conducts examinations of the eye using observation and instruments to determine visual acuity and perception, focus, and coordination to diagnose diseases and other abnormalities for the patient. Maintains order and supervises the conduct of inmates and protects and maintains the safety of persons and property. You will find additional information about the job in the .
