This practice is seeking a full-time optometrist to perform routine eye exams and support ophthalmologists Monday-Friday. The ideal candidate is interested in providing comprehensive optometric care and has a passion for eye care and services. Amazing support staff with state-of-the-art equipment. Duties Conduct thorough eye examinations using advanced diagnostic tools to assess visual acuity, eye health, and physiological functions. Diagnose and manage ophthalmic conditions, including refractive errors, glaucoma, and retinal disease. Prescribe corrective lenses, medications, or treatments based on individual patient needs while adhering to medical terminology standards. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records utilizing EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on eye health, preventive care strategies, and proper use of prescribed optical devices while providing exceptional customer service. Collaborate with healthcare professionals for complex cases requiring specialized ophthalmology expertise or additional diagnostics. Skills Strong knowledge of ophthalmology principles, physiology, anatomy, and medical treatment options related to eye health. Proficiency in optical procedures, including operating medical equipment such as tonometers for intraocular pressure measurement. Excellent patient care skills with a focus on customer service, clear communication, and empathetic engagement. Ability to perform vital signs assessment and interpret diagnostic results accurately. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to protect patient privacy and confidentiality. Experience with Nextech is a plus Join us in delivering exceptional eye care that transforms lives!
