Our office is located in west San Jose, CA. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose and manage ocular conditions, and deliver exceptional patient care. While this is a comprehensive primary care role, we strongly encourage and support the development of optometric specialties. Duties Conduct thorough eye examinations using advanced diagnostic tools and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems to document findings accurately Diagnose and treat a wide range of ocular conditions, including refractive errors, glaucoma, cataracts, and other eye diseases Educate patients on eye health, proper use of corrective lenses, and preventive care strategies Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals on complex cases Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and secure handling of medical records Experience Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited school. Current state licensure in good standing. Residency training in a specialty area is a plus but not required Strong communication skills and a passion for patient-centered care. Knowledge of medical coding, and billing processes related to optometry services Strong customer service skills with the ability to educate patients clearly and compassionately Prior experience in sales or product recommendations related to optical devices is a plus What We Offer Practice at the top of your license with the freedom to choose your clinical focus.
