  • and post-operative care pathways for refractive and advanced lens surgeries, diagnose and manage associated ocular conditions, and deliver exceptional medical eye care.
Working in close collaboration with our surgical team, you will utilize state-of-the-art diagnostic technology in a highly sophisticated, professional environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to practice at the top of your license in a specialized, medical-surgical setting. Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive pre-operative evaluations for laser refractive surgeries (LASIK, PRK, SMILE, ICL) and premium cataract/refractive lens exchanges.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic technologies, including the Pentacam, to analyze corneal tomography and strictly determine surgical candidacy.
  • Manage comprehensive post-operative care, tracking visual outcomes and addressing surgical recovery milestones or complications.
  • Deliver specialized medical eye care, including the treatment and management of corneal conditions, dry eye syndrome, and ocular pathologies.
  • Provide expert patient counseling, educating candidates on surgical options, realistic expectations, and personalized vision correction pathways.
  • Maintain impeccable, detailed medical records utilizing our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system in strict compliance with HIPAA and surgical regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate closely with attending ophthalmologists and surgical coordinators to optimize clinical outcomes. Skills & Qualifications
  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited school of optometry.
  • Active, unrestricted license to practice optometry in the State of Florida.
  • Strong background in ocular surface disease, corneal anatomy, and refractive surgery principles.
  • Proficiency in interpreting advanced corneal diagnostics, Pentacam tomographies, and dry eye workups.
  • Residency training or prior MD/OD surgical co-management experience is highly preferred, but motivated new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to confidently convey surgical concepts, risks, and benefits to patients.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a strong asset for our South Florida patient base but not required.
