Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Optometrist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in ophthalmology and patient care, with a passion for improving visual health and quality of life. As an Optometrist, you will conduct comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose and treat visual conditions, and provide personalized eyewear solutions. Your expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional patient care in a professional and compassionate environment. Duties Perform detailed eye examinations to assess visual acuity, ocular health, and overall eye function using advanced diagnostic tools. Diagnose and manage common eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and refractive errors. Prescribe corrective lenses, contact lenses, or medications based on individual patient needs. Maintain accurate and thorough medical records utilizing Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and treatment options to promote informed decision-making. Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals for specialized cases requiring advanced intervention. Ensure all clinical procedures follow aseptic techniques and maintain a sterile environment to uphold safety standards. Utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to interpret diagnostic results accurately. Assist in sales of eyewear products by providing excellent customer service while adhering to medical coding standards for billing purposes. Requirements Valid state licensure as an Optometrist with current certification to practice in the designated region. Proven experience in ophthalmology or optometry practice with proficiency in optical experience and patient care. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to eye health. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for efficient documentation and record-keeping. Ability to perform comprehensive eye exams including measuring vital signs relevant to ocular health assessments. Excellent customer service skills combined with sales acumen for eyewear products and accessories. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality and security of patient information. Experience with medical coding related to optometry services for billing accuracy. Ability to work effectively within a team environment while maintaining a high standard of professionalism. Pay:
$114,705.02 - $138,139.38 per year
