Part-Time Optometrist Opportunity - Caruana Eye Care Caruana Eye Care is seeking a licensed optometrist to join our practice on a part-time basis (approximately 2 to 2.5 days per week) . This position is ideal for an optometrist who values practicing in a true medical setting, enjoys collaborative patient care, and is comfortable participating in the management of both routine and complex ophthalmic conditions alongside an ophthalmologist. We are seeking a clinician with strong diagnostic skills, sound clinical judgment, and a genuine interest in medical eye care. The role offers meaningful involvement in the care of patients with chronic ocular disease, perioperative management, and post-surgical follow-up within a modern private practice environment committed to high standards of patient care.

Clinical Responsibilities Responsibilities include:

Comprehensive eye examinations Diagnosis and management of medical diseases of the eye Participation in the care of post-surgical ophthalmic patients Evaluation and follow-up of glaucoma, cataract, ocular surface disease, and other anterior segment disorders Refraction and vision care as clinically appropriate Collaborative care planning with the ophthalmologist Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will: Hold an active Florida optometry license Be comfortable practicing within a medical ophthalmology environment Have experience or strong interest in ocular disease management Demonstrate excellent communication and professionalism Value thoughtful, patient-centered care and clinical collaboration Practice Environment Caruana Eye Care is a patient-focused ophthalmic practice dedicated to delivering comprehensive, high-quality care in a collegial and professional setting.
