  • Part-time Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometrist to join our team.
The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive eye care services, including eye examinations, diagnoses, and treatment plans. This role involves working closely with patients of all ages, ensuring optimal vision health and patient satisfaction. The Optometrist will utilize advanced diagnostic tools and electronic health record (EHR) systems to deliver high-quality care in a professional and compassionate manner. Responsibilities Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess visual acuity and eye health Diagnose and treat a variety of ocular conditions, including refractive errors and ocular diseases Prescribe corrective lenses and other treatment options based on patient needs Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR/EHR systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and treatment options Collaborate with ophthalmology specialists and other healthcare providers as needed Stay current with advancements in ophthalmology, optical technology, and medical terminology Ensure aseptic techniques are followed during examinations and procedures Manage patient inquiries with excellent customer service skills, fostering trust and satisfaction Assist in sales of optical products when appropriate, providing product recommendations based on patient needs Skills Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and medical coding for accurate documentation Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly Knowledge of aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures This position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative healthcare environment dedicated to improving patients' vision health through expert care and compassionate service.
