Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Optometrist, where you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive eye care and enhancing patients' vision health. In this energetic position, you will conduct thorough eye examinations, diagnose visual and ocular conditions, and provide personalized treatment plans. Your expertise will help improve quality of life for diverse patient populations while fostering a welcoming and professional environment. Duties Perform detailed eye examinations utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to assess visual acuity, ocular health, and physiological function. Diagnose and manage common eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, astigmatism, and other ocular diseases with precision and confidence. Prescribe corrective lenses, contact lenses, or medications tailored to individual patient needs, ensuring optimal visual outcomes. Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality. Educate patients on eye health, preventive care strategies, and treatment options while providing exceptional customer service to foster trust and satisfaction. Collaborate with ophthalmologists, opticians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care plans effectively. Stay current with advancements in ophthalmology, medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and aseptic techniques to ensure best practices are followed at all times. Experience Experience in ophthalmology or optometry practice with a strong foundation in optical experience and patient care. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy of the eye, and medical coding practices relevant to eye health services. Familiarity with EMR systems and EHR systems for efficient documentation and record management. Ability to perform vital signs assessments when necessary as part of comprehensive patient evaluations. Excellent customer service skills combined with sales aptitude for recommending appropriate optical products or accessories. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance with privacy standards during all patient interactions. New Grads encouraged to apply!

$134,000.00 - $169,000.00 per year
