Position Overview:

Are you an Optometrist looking for an opportunity to work in a private practice with flexibility and a relaxed atmosphere? Frederick Eye Doctor offers part-time and full-time positions, allowing you to choose the schedule that best fits your lifestyle. We welcome recent graduates and experienced optometrists alike.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough eye examinations using advanced diagnostic equipment including automated phoropters and Optos (Daytona) with an intuitive EHR (EyeCloudPro). Prescribe corrective lenses including contact lenses and provide personalized recommendations for vision care. Educate patients on proper eye care techniques and preventive measures. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records. Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school. Valid state optometry license. Strong clinical skills and knowledge of optometric practices and procedures. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a clinical or retail optometry setting. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems. Additional certifications or specializations in optometry.

Compensation:

$80 - $120 / hour ( 2 to 3 patients/hour).
