- Boutique, specialty-only practice (no high-volume or optical-driven care)
- Extended exam times (typically 90 minutes to 2 hours)
- Access to advanced diagnostic and lens design technology
- Complex, referral-based patient population
- Strong emphasis on precision, customization, and outcomes
- Collaborative, high-touch care model
- Opportunity to work closely with Dr. Ariel Cerenzie, owner of the practice, with direct mentorship and collaboration on complex cases Clinical Responsibilities
- Evaluate, design, and manage specialty contact lenses, including scleral, GP, hybrid, and custom designs
- Manage patients with keratoconus, post-surgical corneas, ocular surface disease, and irregular corneas
- Utilize advanced diagnostics to guide lens design and treatment decisions
- Develop individualized care plans, including myopia management when appropriate
- Provide a high level of patient education and communication throughout the care process Technology & Tools
- Oculus Pentacam for corneal tomography
- Optovue Solix OCT
- Ovitz Aberrometer for HOA-guided optics
- EyePrintPRO for highly customized scleral lens design
- Specialty lens platforms such as ScanFitPRO, WAVE, and other custom designs Clinical & Operational Expectations
- Complete detailed documentation within 48 hours
- Order lenses and manage follow-up care in a timely manner
- Communicate effectively with patients via phone, email, and text
- Maintain strong continuity of care through proactive follow-up
- Collaborate closely with virtual assistants and team members
- Adapt to scheduling needs while maintaining a high-quality patient experience
- Assist with general office upkeep and cleanliness
- Support operational tasks such as dropping off lenses or packages at the post office
- Contribute to maintaining an elevated, detail-oriented patient experience Team & Culture
- Strong communication and collaboration
- Ownership and accountability in patient care
- Attention to detail and clinical precision
- Willingness to contribute to overall clinic flow and patient experience Outreach, Education & Growth
- Build relationships with referring providers
- Participate in local optometric community events

- Approximately 30-40 hours per week

- Total annual compensation: $155,000
- $175,000, depending on experience

- Doctor of Optometry (OD)
- Must be licensed in North Carolina, or planning to sit for NC boards soon
