Steel Optical Inc. At Steel Optical, we're looking for an Optometrist who's a team player, someone who wants to be part of a small team and genuinely loves patient care and building rapport. We're committed to offering our patients the highest standard of care in a welcoming environment. We are looking for an optometrist who would be able to fill in or an optometrist looking for part time.

Schedule:

Part-time available (~30 hours) Monday•Friday (8 hour work day) Saturday (6 hour work day 9:30 to 3:00) What You'll Do Perform comprehensive eye exams, including vision assessment and screening for ocular disease Appropriate referral to local ophthalmology clinics for additional testing Diagnose and manage refractive conditions (myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, presbyopia) Prescribe glasses, contact lenses, and other treatments tailored to each patient Educate patients on eye health and preventative care Document patient care accurately and promptly in our EHR system What We're Looking For O.D. from an accredited optometry school Active, New Mexico optometry license A team-player mindset and genuine passion for patient care and rapport Strong diagnostic skills for both refractive and ocular health needs Why Steel Optical Small, supportive team where you're not just a number Digital phoropter, Auto-refractor, auto-lensometry, NCT, and retinal imaging (Optos) Streamlined, easy-to-use EHR — less time on paperwork Work-life balance Paid time off Bonus offered in addition to per diem
