Position Overview Our Client is seeking compassionate and licensed Optometrists (OD) for multiple opportunities throughout Arizona, New York, and Florida . Both Full-Time and Part-Time positions are available, with opportunities for candidates seeking either Independent Contractor or Employee status. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive eye care services within hospital-based clinics located inside government institutions, including correctional facilities, juvenile detention centers, county-operated healthcare facilities, U.S. military installations, and other institutional healthcare environments. Key Responsibilities Patient Care Perform comprehensive eye examinations for patients of all ages. Diagnose and manage refractive errors, ocular diseases, and vision disorders. Prescribe corrective lenses and other vision correction solutions. Evaluate patients for common eye diseases including glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. Develop individualized treatment and follow-up care plans. Educate patients regarding eye health, preventative care, and vision management. Refer patients to ophthalmologists or other specialists when medically appropriate. Clinical Responsibilities Utilize portable optometric diagnostic equipment provided by Our Client. Maintain accurate patient medical records and clinical documentation. Perform visual acuity testing and ocular health assessments. Monitor treatment outcomes and adjust care plans when necessary. Maintain compliance with established clinical protocols and quality standards. Government & Institutional Healthcare Deliver professional optometric services within government-operated healthcare facilities.

Collaborate with healthcare teams, nursing staff, and facility administrators to coordinate patient care. Documentation & Compliance Complete all required patient documentation accurately and promptly. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations. Follow HIPAA guidelines and all applicable healthcare privacy standards. Maintain current licensure and required certifications. Required Qualifications Education Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited Optometry School. Licensure Active Optometrist License in the applicable state or eligibility to obtain licensure. DEA Registration (if required by assignment). Experience Previous Optometry experience preferred but not required. Experience within hospitals, government facilities, correctional healthcare, military healthcare, or institutional environments is a plus. New graduates are encouraged to apply where applicable.
